how the leg edema and tinglings be prevented? The patient is currently taking Insulin Mixtard 30 HM (22U , 15U) , metformin - 1000 mg BD , amlodipine -5mg OD. But Blood glucose level is out of control . Fasting glucose level - 141 mg/dl . PP - 241 mg/dl . HBA1C - 8.1%

Hello Jenish ji, Tingling and burning sensation in lower limbs are due to damage to nerves in limbs due to persistent high sugar level. Control in sugar level gradually improves painful sensory symptom. Leg edema might be due to insult to kidney or due to urine infection in your case which requires further evaluation. Walking and simple exercises after major meals along with diet and sugar control benefits your patients. Add multiple vitamins for few weeks.
